Letter #67 i believe in miracles..

AHHHHHH..... FAMILIA!!!!!

hola. hola. hola. y.... ALOHA!!!! :) :) :)

oh man... im just so stinkin happy && overjoyed to write you this week... family. hay milagros. thats all im saying. MIRACLES EXSIST!!!! && this is the work of the lord. nada mas. :) :) :)

okay... so let me explain my excitement... so like two weeks ago we had a lunch with the stake president and his family... which is way normal and usual. well yeah this time his aunt from holland was in town for a month and a half. and shes starts telling us how shes catholic and doesnt have interest in our religion but that she could tell we were sweet girls with good hearts and yadda yadda yadda... ha!!! this woman can talk AFUL!!!! well... yeah. anyways. we shared a scripture and i just testified to her about the power of prayer and how she can know for her self if this church is true or not. she just needs to ask with a sincere heart to know for herself. well yeah. the spirit was super strong. and i even caught myself getting a little teary-eyed. but thats normal. ha!!! anywho... invited her to pray. lunch ended. && we went on our way. well yeah. two weeks later. aka: this week.l we had lunch again. normal, tranquilo, totally normal lunch. && the aunt was there and super sweet. but nothing out of the ordinary. anywho. my comp shares a scriptures. and everything is like super normal. then when im about to ask if we can close with a prayer... the stake president turn to his aunt and says, ¨hey auntie, do you have something you want to share with the sisters!?¨ and knowing that this sweet old lady can talk for hours and hour and more hours... i was actually dreading this response... #badmissionarystatus. but yeah. then her eyes get all glisteny with tears and she says, ¨yes. i took your invitation and prayed... and recieved my answer. and i want to baptize me.¨... BAH!!! BAH!!! BAH!!! real talk fam. i think my jaw fell on the floor and my eyes bugged out of my head!!! thats was definitely NOT the response i was expecting. she was very set in her ways and her beliefs. like what!? anyways... long long long story short. this week and next week she is our focus. cuz.... were gonna get her to the waters of baptism before she heads back to holland baby!!!! ahhhh!!! cuz she already has two attendances in church... so just needs two more and all the lessons baby!!! woohoo!!! im just seriously so incredibly happy!!! she really is incredible!!!  she treats every commitment we give her as if were her first born child!!! like real talk. ive never ever EVER had a investigator like this amazing woman!!! && i just feel so increidbly blessed to have this opportunity to help prepare her to make such an amazing covenent with our lord and savior!!!! ahhhh!!!! THIS IS THE WORK OF THE LORD. nada mas. we literally are just instruments as missionaries. && even in a simple lunch appointment inviting someone to pray can be a life changing experience if they accept the invitation with a willing heart of knowing!!! ahhhh!!! i love being a missionary so much!!!! :) anywho... i also had a really cool experience during my personal study the other day as i was reading my patrichal blessing and it says something along the lines that: i will help bring the gospel to the honest in heart, spreading the gospel to all lands and tongues. or something like that... ha ha ha. but yeah. hey!!! even holland baby!!!! dasss whatsups!!!! ha ha. ahhhh!!! im just such a happy missionary!!! && i just feel so increidbly blessed to have this opportunity to serve my lord and savior by sharing his gospel to his lost sheep!!! ahhhh!!!! this church is so true familia!!!! there is no if, ands, or butts about it!!! jesus is the christ. our lord. && savior. he is the reason for it all. this is HIS work. && HIS glory. nada mas. :)

¿¡WHAT UP!? ¿¡WHAT UP!? ¿¡WHAT UP!?

hermana forte y hermana doughty.. mama y hija.
(the problem is people legit think shes my daughter...
#awkward. ha ha ha.)

oh mi hermosa familia that i love so very much!!! how in the freakin world are you!?!?! :) can we just talk about how happy i am to be writing you from my precioso baradero con mi hija... once again!! yeah yeah baby!!! we get another 6 weeks together and im seriously so incredibly excited!!! mi hija is seriously so incredible and im so blessed to get the opportunity to finish her 12 weeks training!!!! woohoo!!!! :) :) :) anywho... also... just saw shaunie and nates freaking beautiful engagement video... and im dying!!!! first of all you 2 are just so freaking perfect for eachother. second of all... nate. props on a perfect proposal. and third... alta. girl. you got some freaking dang good talent!!! awe... i just cant stop crying!!! so much happiness up in here right about now!!! life is so amazing!!! god is so amazing!!!! i just love love and life filled with so much love!!! :) :) :) but yeah... as for this week in baradero... wow. i just love being a missionary so much. like did i already tell you that!? cuz... i really do. like wow. sometimes i have WOW moments when i just cant even believe that my heavenly father has blessed me so much to have this amazing opportunity and trusts me enough to take care of this part of his vineyard... oh man family. i just love baradero so much!!! seriously its gotten to the point where we ride down the streets with our sexy helmets on (psych!! so not sexy!! ha ha.) and people honk and shout hola to us as we pass... its just so amazing!!! i started out saying hi to EVERYONE who was outside on  there porches drinking mate and now its to the point where THEY all say hola or chau to US!!!! wow. the love and light of christ is just so contagious. even if its just a simple smile with a hola... they can still feel it!!! ahh!!!! i just have no doubt about that!!!! :)

but yeah... hmmm... this week has also been a crazy one for the books as we literally somehow found ourselves teaching at two of the biggest drug homes in this small town... but we had no idea!?! ha!!! also... a 14 year old girl we met has a baby and has been married for 3 years... like what!? is that even allowed!? ha ha ha.  #goodolargentinamemories

anywho... that was a fun adventure. oh yeah. and remember when i basically got proposed to this week during a street contact!? ha!! he was asking me if i could stay in argentina if we got married... and seriously. so awkward. i didnt even realize he was flirting. as hes smoking a cigarette and showing me pics of his 6 year old baby girl.... lets just say im like SO not looking forward to entering the dating scene after the mish... ha!!!

but yeah... and as for the actual work itself... we finally have found a golden!!! her name is maria rojas!!! and shes incredible!!! shes reading the book of mormon... and wow. the gift of tongues is so real people. its been such an incredibly experience watching my cute little hija, hermana doughty, with her simple spanish grow and speak through the spirit!!! wow. this truely is the work of the lord. and its so amazing to be on this side of the idioma to be able to see her learn and grow... && wow. im just filled with so much joy!!! #proudmommoment 

but yeah... as we have met a wide variety of people this week... and i mean WIDE VARIETY. ha ha ha. i have come to really realize my purpose here as a missionary. and during my personal study i came across this scripture that really explains it better than i ever could... 2 nephi 2:8...

 8 Wherefore, how great the importance to make these things known unto the inhabitants of the earth, that they may know that there is no flesh that can dwell in the presence of God, save it be through the merits, and mercy, and grace of the Holy Messiah, who layeth down his life according to the flesh, and taketh it again by the power of the Spirit, that he may bring to pass theresurrection of the dead, being the first that should rise.

wow... thats really the reason for it all folks!!! doesnt matter who you are, or where your from, or what you did or what you are doing... the fact of the matter is, without christ, our lord and savior, we cannot return to the prescence of god!!! its is through HIM and only HIM that we can repent and change our lives!!!!

and just to leave you with a last little mind thinker... i came across another scripture in 3 nephi 27:27...

 27 And know ye that ye shall be judges of this people, according to the judgment which I shall give unto you, which shall be just. Therefore, what manner of men ought ye to be? Verily I say unto you, even as I am.

&&& thats all she wrote folk!!! HE is our potential!!! and only through HIM can we become like HIM!!!! ahhhhh!!! i just love this gospel so stinkin much!!!! it really is the answer and the secret thats not even a secret to happiness!!! ha ha ha.

i love my heavenly father and his unconditional love and generiosity to me in my life... especially to send his son, my lord and redeemer, to suffer and die for me!!! we really are so incredibly blessed to have this knowledge!!!

Letter #65 the track back to heaven..

HOLA MI COPADA FAMILIA!!!!! :)

dang... today has been a fast:  waddabing-waddabooom kinda week!! lotsa work!!! lotsa sun!!! lotsa miracles!!! were actually working with 3 potentialFAMILES right about now!!! you hear that people.... FAMILIAS!!!! we were super let down tho cuz they all three fell through with actually coming to church... but i have no doubt with preparation throughout this next week they aren´t gonna wanna miss church for ANYTHING this next upcoming week!!! :) :) :) besides... 9:30 a.m. church in this laid back, mate drinking, summer season country side... is quite the sacrifice!!! just gotta teach them that its worth the sacrifice baby!!! :) :) :)and that the lord always and i mean ALWAYS blesses us for our sacrifices. kinda ironic though, isn´t it!? as HE made the greatest sacrifice of them all to send HISson who ultimately made THE SACRIFICE, for each and everyone of us. dang man... the least we can do is make little sacrifices each day to read, pray, and go to church. its all simple as that family!!! those three things are what we need to do daily to give us the strength to keep us on track... THE TRACK BACK TO HEAVEN!!!!! :) (hey dad, that sounds like a song don´t it!? ha ha ha.)

but yeah... anywho... i know we can it fam... WE CAN MAKE IT BACK!!!! and the best part is... were gonna make it back... TOGETHER!!!! AS AN ETERNAL FAMILY BABY!!!!! :) :) :)

i love this gospel. i love my heavenly father. && i love my savior.

oh yeah... && i love every single one of you!!!! like so so so much!!!! :)

Letter #64 under the same night sky..

ALOOOOOOOOOOOOOHA!!!! :)

oh my amazing family!!! i just love you so freakin much!!!! && i´m just so incredibly grateful for your love and support every single p-day without fail!!!!

anywho... this week was another amazing week of work, work, working!!! and seriously... i´ve never been happier!!! we found a new investigator named jesus, that accepted baptismal date in 3 weeks... and real talk - hes awesome!!! he had a really bad accident just a year back where he was in a coma for 14 days and he told us that he knows its a miracle that hes still living and that hes knows its for a reason... and i´m here to tell you people... THIS IS THE REASON!!! he really is so humble and so open to this gospel!!! its still the beginning as we just met him the other day, but i´m feeling good about this one my dear family... FINALLY!!!! HAY ELIGIDOS!!!! NO TENGO DUDA SOBRE ESO!!!! :) :) :) ahhhh. i just love being a missionary so much and being HIS intrument to gather HIS sheep!!!! :)

so... as i was thinking about what i wanted to share today... i decided i wanted to share a cool experience i had just last night... ha ha. maybe its like way super cheesy... but... oh well. just soak it all in and love it okay!? ha ha. anyways... as we were riding in a ¨grey hound type of bus¨ to sleep in zarate for our activity as a zone we had this morning... i was staring out at the dark night sky with all the brilliant bright stars shining so bright... and this amazing feeling of love and gratitude and just pure joy came over me as i began thinking about life and our purpose here on earth and in this vastly large universe. and wow. it just struck me deep family... i know my purpose on this earth and my purpose in this HU-FREAKING-MUNGO universe... but also i´m just so incredibly grateful to be here in argentina to share this glad message!!! and for a split second... i didn´t feel so far away from home!!! i cant explain it family... we´re under the same night sky!!! utah, argentina, albania, thailand... no matter where in the world you are... its the same night sky!!! its the same life with joy and happiness. the same life with pains and saddness. the same life with trails and tempations. but the best part is... no matter where in the world you are... its same everlasting gospel. with the same everlasting convenants with the same everlasting promises that will literally ¨ever-last¨ into the eternities!!!! :) what an increidbly blessing it is to have this amazing gospel in our lives!!! what an incredible knowledge it is to know we have a loving heavenly father that knows and loves each and everyone of his children in this universe!!! so much so, we know that he sent his only begotten son to suffer and die for us so that we can repent of our sins daily and one day return to live with him again!!! :) dang family... i just love my savior so much. && know without a doubt that he lives.

that is our glad message family... HE LIVES. nada mas. :) oh my goodness... i just love you all so much!!! hope

Letter #63 their eyes tell all..

HEEEY CHE!!!

faaaa mi familia!!!! este semana fue de diez!!!! en serio... estoy re re re feliz!!!! :)

oh crap... english. ;) perdoname!!! ;)

 so... I FINALLY BOUGHT A GAUCHO HAT!!!  #itsanargentinecowboy  #youhavenoideahowexcitediam #iloveargentina

okay... lemme try again... wow my dear family... this week really was OSUM!!! seriously... i just am so happy like all the time!!! its kinda crazy!!! we still dont have any solid investigators, we get chased by scary dogs on the daily, we sweat about a gallon of sweat everyday from this crazy hot syco sun, we return home sunburned and eaten alive by mosquitos every night && we get rejected about 50 times every single day... but im just so stinkin happy!!! i love it!!! && i dont understand how its possisble... BUT ITS SO POSSIBLE!!!! i{m living proof baby!!! :)

but yeah... i just feel like i finally know how to be the missionary i wanna be... confident in my own skin and in my abilities... but lets be honest... my abilities with HIS help!!! && obvio... i still struggle with the language here and there... but the confidence is there!!! and thats all that matters!!! :) i{m able to testify and bring the spirit in even just a simple street contact... AND IT JUST FEELS SO GOOD!!!! :) i seriously love being a missionary so much!!! :) and i{m just so grateful i{ve been able to experience this amazing journey with my shister shaunie at the beginning of my mission and now my shister domi at the end of my mission... i seriously am just the luckiest missionary on the planet... thats all i{m sayin!!! :)

but anywho... this week i{ve really been trying to focus on how you can tell if someone is a GOLDEN investigator or not... and... how i can use HIS time as a missionary as effectively as possible and how i can know if someone has real interest or no... well let me tell ya family... i{ve really had an enlightening and inspiring expierence... and literally the phrase: the eyes are the window to the soul... has a whole new meaning in my book!!! not only are the eyes a window... but the eyes of a person literally tell all!!! when a person is lonely or sad and needs comfort... you can see it in their eyes. when a person is happy and content with their life...  you can see it in their eyes. when a person is a total snake and talking to us for ALL the wrong reasons... you can see it in their eyes!!! (ha ha ha. had to include that one in there... ha!!!) && when a person is touched by our message and can feel the spirit... you can see it in their eyes!!! dang... and what an amazing experience it is to see someone feel the spirit and to see their eyes brighten in a split second... its the light of christ people!!! it literally is an indescribable light that brings more joy and happiness then anything else in this world could ever bring!!!! :) 

i love how ether 12 decribes it...

 19 And there were many whose faith was so exceedingly strong, even before Christ came, who could not be kept from within the veil, but truly saw with their eyes the things which they had beheld with an eye of faith, and they were glad.

HE is the light of world... and if we have EYES OF FAITH... its enevitable that we will be incredibly and undescribably glad!!! :) ahhh... this gospel is such an eye opener of happiness!!! through HIM we literally can have an eternal perspective and see beyond this world!!! what a blessing that is!!! and why!? because our heavenly father loves us more than any words on this computer screen could ever express!! HE LOVES US. and wants us to grow and become like HIM someday!!! :)

just having a mother-daughter moment in the park... ha ha ha. #bejealous

anyways... i hope this random train of thought actually makes sense && that you can feel my love and gratitude through my words... i just love this gospel so much family... and i{m so grateful for this amazing opportunity to be a missionary for a short 18 months!!! dang... its seriously flying by right before my very eyes and its freakin me out!!! but anyways... no more talk about time... no me gusta!!! ha ha.

but i love you all so very much!!! and hope you have the bestest week ever!!!

oh wow.. oh wow.. oh wow.. this week just sounds like it was one for the books!! new years then sending off our baby domi to the mtc... oh my goodness!!! im just so proud && happy of my baby sister so much!!! thailand really is SO lucky to have such a incredible blessing in their territory for a whole year && a half!!! :) your gonna kill it dom!!! and i´m seriously SO stinkin excited to hear of all the miracles that the lord is gonna do through you!!! :)

but yeah... this week has definitely been a week of growth and faith for this missionary as well over here in baradero, argentina... with my new baby missionary... hermana doughty... from... tokerville, utah!!! yup. es verdad mi familia. i´m training a junkie. :) seriously i dunno how i´m doing it!!!?!? were BOTH relying on my spanish!!! but lets be honest... we´re relying on the lord... nada mas. ha ha ha ha. but real talk... familia... the gift of tongues is SO real!!!! i cant even express to you... like who am!? living in argentina... on my own!!! but seriously... i don´t even know how i´m doing it... but i´m totally doing it!!! and seriously ever day i just thank my heavenly father so much for his strength, direction, and trust in me to do his work!!! :) we´re still struggling to find his ¨goldens¨... but faith proceeds the miracle right!? so i just gotta keep my faith and i know the miracles will come!!! :) the fact that we haven´t been lost, robbed, or arrested yet is a miracle in itself. so... i´m just gonna count my many blesisngs!!! ha ha ha. #twojunkieswalkinaroundincampo #yes #mycompisblonde #obviooutsiders #oops #thelordtrustsus #soitrustthelord :)

&&... i want to remind you all how incredible this gospel is && how incredibly grateful i am to be a representive of jesus christ and to share his glad message with the amazing people here in baradero!!! we made 30 contacts in the street just yesterday... and i seriously just ended the day with SO much joy!! we still haven´t found our goldens yet... but were planting seeds!!!! dang... the church is growing people!!! the church is true people!!! goodness!!! it brings light && clarity into our lives that NOTHING ELSE can!!!! its so simple no!? and yet we make it so complicated sometimes... but first hand in my own life i´ve been able to see... when we rely on the lord. everything falls into place && everything works out. cuz when we rely and trust in the lord, were trusting in HIS plan for us!!! && ultimately HIS plan is WAYY better than any plan we could EVER have for ourselves!!! (my new years resolutions from last year are a BIG example of that one!! ha ha. #chauexboyfriends) goodness gracious!!! i just love my heavenly father so much!!! and know that he loves and knows each and everyone of us!!! && thats why he sent his son, jesus christ... FOR US!!! :)

FAMILIA... I´M HAVING A BABY...

but faaaa... you seriously have NO idea how nervous i am... such a responsibility!!! so much pressure!!! but at the same time... such an honor!!! dang. i just feel so blessed that heavenly father trust ME to train one of his new servants that just entered the field!!! i already told domi... i´m gonna teach and take care of my new baby missionary as if she was my baby sister, in hopes that the trainer of my REAL baby sister is gonna do the same for her in thailand!!! :) dang... still can´t believe domi enters the mtc tomorrow!!! faaaa!!!! good luck dom!!! your gonna kill it!!!! and always remember that we have the bestest beyond bestest family rooting us on and praying for us every single day!!!! :) ahhhh... i love being a missionary so much!!!! :) thank you so much familia for your love and support through and through!!! :)

this week was kinda a rough one as the baptism of alicia fell through... we showed up with the elders for her interview and she told us she wasn´t ready to get baptized as one of her brothers attacked her with anti-mormon rubbish and basically shes doubting everything... and wants to push off her date a couple months... it was definitely a ¨stab in the heart¨ kind of moment... but i´m not gonna give up on her!!! i know she knows the truth and i´m gonna continue visiting her with my new baby missionary... but... i also know that the lord has prepared people in baradero and i need to use my time wisely to find his chosen ones!!! :) the field is white and ready to harvest... and i know the lord is preparing hearts for us to teach this very moment!!!! just need to listen and trust the spirit to lead us to them!!!! :)

anyways... other than that sad and depressing news... my christmas was fantastic!!! and i absolutely loved seeing your beautifully glowing faces!!! ahhh... i just love my family so much!!! how did i get so lucky!? still blows my mind in the how!? :) but then i remember... its not luck. its a blessing from my father in heaven. nada mas. :)
